With health tips, challenges and encouragement.
It’s a week meant to celebrate all the uniqueness that comes from being female. It’s the 20th year of the National Women’s Health Week, which kicks off on Mother’s Day (May 12) and runs to May 18, 2019. It is meant to encourage all women to be as healthy as they can be through health tips, activity challenges, and encouragement to get to doctors among other things. In other words, we encourage all females to put your needs first… at least for a week!
The goals for National Women’s Health Week 2019 are to encourage females to:
Here at Apex, we hope you consider a visit to a Women’s Health Physical Therapist to address some of these goals. Women’s Health Physical Therapists can help you get active by making a customized exercise program, or by addressing those nagging aches and pains that keep you from being active. The female body faces unique challenges due to musculoskeletal structure, hormonal influence, or the awesome experience of birthing a child. Women’s Health Physical Therapists are specially trained to help with the uniquely female conditions.
It’s very important to find a specially trained physical therapist to correctly treat difficult conditions dealing with pelvic pain, incontinence, breast cancer, infertility, or prolapse. If treated incorrectly these conditions can have painful repercussions that can damage the fabulous female body. Lucky for the local communities of Eastern North Dakota, Western Minnesota, and North Eastern South Dakota, we have the most highly trained team of Women’s Health Physical Therapists right here at Apex Physical Therapy & Wellness Center!
Another goal you can reach at Apex is learning to eat a healthier diet. To keep the female body feeling fabulous, eating a balanced diet rich in vitamins, minerals, and proteins is important. Our new Apex Dietetics program lead by the fabulous female Samantha Fuhrmann, MS, LD, LN. Samantha can help educate you on the foods to help fuel your body properly, teach you about the hormonal influence of foods, meal plan, or even go shopping with you to help make fueling your fabulous female body easier than ever!
If you are looking for some help to get your fabulous female body going, give us a call at 701-364-APEX (2739) or check out our highly skilled Women’s Health team online at apexptwellness.com.
