My name is Maggie Madsen

and I’m Apex’s new Licensed Massage Therapist!

Want to get to know me a little better? Read on for some questions and answers!

Q: How long have you been a massage therapist?
A: I graduated from massage school in March 2021 and became licensed at the end of May 2021. So, I’m still a newbie!

Q: Why did you choose massage for a career choice?
A: I am someone that has always known that I want to help others grow and heal as a profession. Throughout my life I considered nursing and education, but while I was getting a degree for music education I came across the healing wonders of massage. I was immediately intrigued and the more I learned about it the more I fell in love. Massage Therapy is about facilitating healing in others in a knowledgeable and compassionate way, which fits perfectly to my values.

Q: What do you like most about Apex?
A: The sense of caring community! Patients, therapists, and other employees seem to work together so well here and it’s just a place filled with love and support. (I think it comes from the values that Brooke and Kameron instilled when they came up with the idea of Apex)

Q: What’s something most people know about you?
A: I am a HUGE animal lover. Whenever I am around any type of animal my silly “puppy voice” comes out… it’s hard to control when such cuties are around!

Q: What are you passionate about?
A: Mindfulness, self-care, and self-compassion. These practices help me take care of myself in a healthy manner. As the saying goes, “You can’t pour from an empty cup”.
