We are celebrating the chance to educate the public on all the benefits of two of our favorite professions, Physical Therapy and Massage Therapy.
This year’s theme is “Happy to be a Piece of YOUR Healthcare Puzzle.” We feel there are lots of ways that this theme helps describe all the ways that Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and Licensed Massage Therapists (LMT) can help patients lead more enjoyable lives. Plus, during a global pandemic, who doesn’t love a good puzzle!
Navigating your health can be both puzzling and exhilarating as you search for the perfect fitting piece to improve your health. I’ll admit it. I am biased. But I think that adding a DPT & an LMT to the other pieces of your healthcare team can be just the piece you needed to feel better, sleep better, and overall have more energy for the daily hustle and bustle. Really, think about it.
You most likely have a Dentist checking your teeth, an Optometrist checking your eyes, a Primary Care Provider (Medical Doctor, Nurse Practitioner, Osteopathic Doctor, Naturopath, etc) checking your general health…why not have a DPT checking your muscles, nerves, joints, posture, gait pattern, and movement?
Even cooler, a DPT can help you Prevent injuries from happening, but can also help rehabilitate you from an injury, surgery, or some other movement that just keeps creating inflammation in your body. How can they do all that? The answer is simple!
Because Doctors of Physical Therapy are musculoskeletal experts! We are trained to identify poor movement patterns that could lead to injury or have lead to injury, then help get your body rebalanced and the motion improved. What about taking away pain? Getting to the root cause of the movement deficiencies and rebalancing the system will also help with pain relief. A pain-free, balanced body helps us feel and move our best!
The other important piece everyone should add to their healthcare puzzle is a Licensed Massage Therapist. Licensed Massage Therapists (LMT’s) also work on your muscles, nervous system, lymphatic system, and promotes overall relaxation.
Please contact us to book a physical therapy assessment or a therapeutic massage. Just call our main line at 701-364-APEX and we are happy to help you on your path to wellness.
