Elbow Conditions

Cubital Tunnel Syndrome

Cubital tunnel syndrome is caused by increased pressure or stretching on the ulnar nerve, also known as the “funny bone” nerve, located at the elbow. Sometimes, surgical intervention may be required to help release pressure on the nerve, but physical therapy will continue to be an essential part of your recovery.

Signs and symptoms of this condition include:

  • intermittent pain
  • numbness or tingling when bending the elbow
  • tenderness to the inside of the elbow, weakness of the hand and wrist
  • possible bending forward of the small and ring fingers

A physical therapist will work will you and create a plan of care that best fits your personal needs and goals.
