Hip Conditions

Hip Flexor Tendontitis

Snapping hip syndrome refers to the sensation of snapping or popping when you lift, lower, or swing your leg. This condition is caused by inflammation of a tendon or ligament as it rolls over the bony parts of the hip.

A physical therapist will conduct a full assessment of the joint and surrounding tissue, and work with you to create a treatment plan that best fits your needs and goals.

It can cause symptoms such as:

  • Popping or snapping with leg movement
  • Weakness
  • Tightness
  • Swelling
  • Difficulty performing daily activities due to pain in the hip region.
