Katie graduated from Jamestown College in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in Communications. She then attended Sister Rosalind Gefre School of Massage where she graduated in 2005. Katie worked in a massage clinic and chiropractic clinic before finding her home here at Apex Physical Therapy in 2010. Katie wears multiple hats at Apex and is the Director of Wellness and Leadership Development and maintains a full-time massage/CranioSacral clientele. Katie also serves on the Board for the Heartland Healthcare Network as the Ancillary representative and also serves on a board for a local non-profit organization, Matthews Voice Project.

Katie has received her certification in CranioSacral Therapy (CST-T) & is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS) through the Brain Injury Association of America. Additionally, she has received more education in orthopedic massage and pain management, Upledger CranioSacral Therapy (CS1, CS2, SER1, SER2, CTTB1, CTTB2, CST & Infant Breastfeeding/Tongue tie & Pediatrics), Neural Manipulation, Visceral Manipulation, Active Isolated Stretching, Barnes Myofascial release, Kinesiology taping, Chickly lymphatic drainage, and Lymph and the brain.
