Knee Stress Fractures
Lower extremity stress fractures are fractures to the bones of the lower legs or feet that are commonly due to repeated activity or a disease process. Stress fractures produce tiny cracks in the bone and usually cause pain with activity.
Other symptoms include:
- Sharp pain over a specific area of the leg
- Aching pain after activity
- Swelling without bruising
- Difficulty with daily activities.
