OATS procedure

An osteoarticular transfer system procedure is a treatment used to replace injured cartilage located at the knee joint. The injured area of cartilage is removed, and new cartilage is tapped into place in order to decrease symptoms in the future.

Following this surgery, a physical therapist can work with you to help you progress your activities and regain strength and motion.

Treatments May Include:

  • Progress your activities
  • Regain strength and motion

At Apex, your physical therapist will assess your body after surgery and work with you to create a treatment plan that best suits your individual goals and needs.
