Pelvic Fracture

When one or more bones in the pelvis crack or break, this results in a pelvic fracture. A motor vehicle accident, fall or even sports can cause a pelvic fracture. Repetitive impact activities like gymnastics or jogging can cause a pelvic fracture. Most fractures will require surgery or immobilization to heal.

Common symptoms experienced include:

  • Pain and difficulty with walking
  • Pain standing
  • Difficulty urinating.

At Apex, a physical therapist will assess the joint and surrounding area to help create a treatment plan that best addresses your needs and goals.
