Posterior Tibialis Tendonopathy
Posterior tibialis tendinopathy is a type of overuse injury that affects the posterior tibialis muscle located at the inside of the ankle. It can occur from an acute injury, such as a fall but is also common from repetitive trauma or stress to the tendon, like excess weight, loaded calf raises, or jumping exercises.
Common symptoms you may experience are:
- Pain along the inside of the foot
- Pain with activity
- Swelling
- Sense of ankle instability
