Shoulder Conditions

Dislocation or Instability

A shoulder dislocation is the separation of the upper arm bone from the shoulder blade. This type of injury is most common when playing in contact sports but may also occur from accidents such as falls. Following a dislocation, go to your health care provider to guide the bone back into the joint.

Symptoms of dislocation may include feeling the arm come out of the shoulder socket, pain, inability to move the arm, and a different appearance of the shoulder.

Apex Physical Therapy & Wellness Center is here to help

Once the joint is realigned, our goal at Apex is to rehabilitate the shoulder and prevent reinjury. Our physical therapists will perform a complete evaluation of the joint and determine the best plan of care for your personal goals and needs.
