Discectomy
A discectomy is a surgery that removes the damaged portion of a herniated disc within your spine. This treatment is usually performed to help treat pain that radiates down into the arms or legs. After this surgery, physical therapy can help you regain muscle control and function through strengthening and stability exercises, as well as help you return to your previous activities.
