Subacromial Decompression
Subacromial Decompression is a surgery on the shoulder that helps treat impingement syndrome. During this procedure, the surgeon will increase the size of the subacromial area which will help decrease pain with arm movements.
Following your operation, a physical therapist can work with you to help you gain motion and increase strength in the arm. They can also help you with pain management and the development of a home exercise program to return you to your previous lifestyle.
Treatments May Include:
- Pain management
- Create a home exercise program
