Should you adopt minimalist running shoes?
Designed with less cushioning and fewer supportive features, these shoes engage muscles instead of relying on passive control. Creating a different body motion, minimalist shoes mimic running barefoot while protecting the bottom of the foot from cuts and scrapes.
While useful for some, the change in strides can cause different injuries. If adopting minimalist shoes, transition slowly and do not do too much too soon.
